Position: Technology Coordinator

Pay: $13,500 salary annually

Reports: To Senior Pastor

Position Summary:

The Technology Coordinator shall coordinate all technology at FUMC and offer opportunities for youth and adults to explore the possibility of Christian ministry and service through technology.

Shall coordinate all worship visuals (slides) at FUMC.

Required Skills:

• Familiar with digital soundboards
• Strong working knowledge of ProPresenter, with continuous learning of its functions
• Working knowledge of Canva

Primary Function and Duties:

• Troubleshoot sound and video technology at FUMC
• Recruit, train and communicate with volunteers; support and enlist volunteer workers in all areas of technology
• Coordinate with Senior pastor, Finance and Church Council to purchase equipment
• Set up equipment for Sunday and Revive
• Attend rehearsals to manage sound when needed or available or line someone else up to do it
• Film and edit videos
• Schedule or run sound and music and/or livestream for funerals and weddings.

Additional:

• Follow the Safe Sanctuary Policy.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• The church reserves the right to make changes in this position description or to reassign tasks as required for church needs.
• Create slide show presentation in ProPresenter by following/importing worship schedule from Planning Center and any premade visuals in Canva
• Communicate with pastors, staff and volunteers regarding worship slides
• Use search capabilities in ProPresenter to import hymns and Bible verses and look them up in pew hymnal and Bible to ensure the import matches the printed version
• Keep software programs updated on slide computer
• Find and train volunteers to operate worship slides on Sundays
• Attend weekly staff meetings
