Trinity Preschool is a licensed, non-profit, faith-inspired preschool for children aged 3 and 4. Our early education philosophy fosters children’s natural curiosity and ability to learn through play. Our play-centered program follows the practice of the Alberta Early Learning and Care Framework known as FLIGHT.

Open Position:

We are seeking a qualified temporary preschool teacher to cover a maternity leave (with possibility of extension).  We are looking for someone with a personal Christian faith, warmth, creativity, and ability to engage well with children.

Our teachers plan and prepare as a team to create activities and environments that stimulate learning. Together, we create a caring classroom environment that respects and celebrates each child’s value and unique character and provides any inclusion supports or resources necessary to meet their needs.

We Offer:

• Part-time hours (approx. 25 hours/week) from January 15th – May 30th. Our preschool classes run M-F from 9-11:30 a.m. Shift hours are 8:30-1:30 p.m.
• Competitive wages offered in line with Alberta’s ECE salary grid (20.00/hr. base rate) We also offer Alberta Wage Top Up based on level of certification.
• A dynamic team-approach to teaching.
• Facilities that include a brand-new spacious building, adjacent outdoor classroom, onsite playground, gardens and access to gross motor play facilities with kitchen at Trinity Baptist Church.

Requirements:

• Level 2 Alberta Childcare Certification or higher
• Strong leadership, English -communication, and interpersonal skills
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Current RCMP Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Agreement with the Trinity Baptist Church statement of beliefs and Identity Statement found at https://www.tbcsherwoodpark.ca/about/our-beliefs
• Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Early Childhood Education: 2 years (Preferred)
• Experience working with inclusion resources and support persons (Preferred)
