Mental Health Program Director

Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. 
The Y Triangle, ‘Spirit, Mind, Body’ surrounds the biblical reference to John 17:21 “that they all may be one” – our Y is seeking to complete that triangle by enhancing mental health & wellness in the programs and services we offer, and how we deliver service and support to our members and the community.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Provide Association leadership of mental health programs and services to members and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, mental health & wellness, or counseling required.
• Experience in program development and Christian emphasis, preferred.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION (partial, for complete list see position description at link below):
In tandem with the Spiritual Development Director, establish relationships and create collaborations between the Y, school districts, area churches, and health organizations to enhance the Y mission and ensure connections between spiritual health and mental health.
