DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS

Location:  Residential Care Home, Strood, Kent

Reports To: Director

Mission

To develop and lead one of Kent’s leading Christian dementia and nursing care services, ensuring exceptional resident outcomes, regulatory excellence, and a culture of compassion, dignity and servant leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all clinical and operational functions.
• Lead the transition from residential dementia care to specialist dementia nursing care.
• Develop and maintain outstanding standards of clinical governance.
• Support and mentor the Registered Manager and senior leadership team.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and best practice guidance.
• Lead quality improvement programmes and audits.
• Develop relationships with NHS services, commissioners and local stakeholders.
• Champion person-centred dementia care and end-of-life excellence.
• Promote a strong Christian ethos throughout the home.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN).
• Current NMC registration.
• Minimum five years senior leadership experience in elderly care.
• Demonstrable experience of dementia care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Personal commitment to Christian values and compassionate care.

Desirable

• Experience opening or developing nursing services.
• Qualification in leadership or management.
• Experience working with dementia nursing pathways and NHS Continuing Healthcare.
